Fun Fall 4-H Adventures Afterschool! For kids K to 5th grade, every Tuesday @ 3:45-4:45, starting Tuesday, Oct. 14th, for 6 sessions. To register please pay registration fee of $6 @ the Gaylord Public Library. Adventures will include games, crafts and snacks about fall themes; apples, pumpkins, Halloween, leaves, scarecrows and Thanksgiving. Sponsored by University of MN Sibley Co. 4-H, Connie Rettman and the Gaylord Library.
Youngest Book Club in Town! The last Monday of every month @ 3:45 in the Community Room of the library, for kids grades 4-6. Mrs. Knacke has lots of great books with fun activities and projects to go with them now all she needs is READERS!
Do you love Scrabble? Join our Scrabble Club! We meet the first Tues. of every month starting Sept. 2 @ 1:30, in the Community Room of the Library. Please join us for a game of Scrabble and a snack. Questions? Call Mary Beth, 507-380-2747.
Fireside Book Club - Pull up a chair and warm up with a good book! Join our Fireside Book Club! Meets the last Wednesday of every month at 12 Noon. Call the library to order the book they are reading. Oct. 30 - 19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult, Nov. 26 - Minnesota Weatherwatch by Mike Lynch.
Monday Nov. 10, 5:30 - 9 p.m. Friends of the Gaylord Library presents…“A Night With the Stars!” WCCO’s Mike Lynch, author of Minnesota Weatherwatch, A Complete Guide for Weather-Obsessed Minnesotans and Minnesota Starwatch. From 5:30-7 there will be a Chili Supper, 7-8 Mike Lynch book discussion, 8-9 Outdoor Star Presentation @ Walsh Field. Come early and enjoy fall treats and visit Mike. Limited seating is available please RSVP by calling the Library @ 507-237-2280.
Panda and Friends Storytime - Kids join Ruth Wolter and Panda for fun stories, finger plays and songs. Every Fri. @ 9:30 a.m. Watch for special appearance by PG Panda!
Knitting Club - Kids 3rd grade and up have fun learning basic knitting skills. We meet every Thurs. @ 3:45 ending Oct. 23, in the Community Room. Please bring a knitting needle size 7, 8, or 9 and yarn if you have some. If not we will have extra supplies. Join Lorie Wood for knitting fun.
