That angling tactic has proved successful for Roger Meffert of Gaylord. Meffert, pictured in top photo, caught a 28-inch walleye earlier this month on Lake Miltona near Alexandria. Meffert’s fishing partner Christopher Goetsch (lower photo), a Gaylord native, caught a 25-inch walleye the same evening. Both fish were released. - submitted photo
