Paul O. Pioske, age 65, of Gaylord, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington. Memorial service was held Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington with interment in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. James Carlson officiated. Eulogy was by Dan Pioske.
Honorary urn bearers were grandchildren, Connor Rennecke, Morgan Pioske, Parker Pioske, Will Pioske, Dana Pioske, Carter Overson, Braden Overson, Isaac Overson, Emily Pioske, Alex Pioske, and Allison Pioske.

Paul Orville Pioske was born January 26, 1946, in Michigan City, Indiana. He was the son of Gordon and Marguerite (Hill) Pioske. Paul was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in his faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gaylord. He received his education at a country school near Trinity Lutheran Church and was a graduate of Le Sueur High School, Class of 1963. He was a member of the United States Army Reserve from 1963-1969.
On February 3, 1968, Paul was united in marriage to Judy Kraemer at First Lutheran Church in Glencoe. This marriage was blessed with five children, Lori, Scot, Jodi, Michael and Kati. Paul and Judy resided in Le Sueur, Kelso Township and later moved to Gaylord.
Paul farmed and drove milk truck for over 25 years. In 1996, he found his passion for driving bus, which continued to do until he retired in 2010. Paul was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington.
Paul enjoyed meeting and talking to new people, coin collecting and playing cards. He loved to travel, especially to Arizona. Paul cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed telling stories to his grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his wife, Judy Pioske of Gaylord; daughters, Lori (Ryan Ochs) Rennecke of Chaska, Jodi (Jody Kruize) Overson of Barrett, Kati Vos and her husband, Patrick of Maplewood; sons, Scot Pioske and his wife, Sharylyn of Fairfax, Michael Pioske and his wife, Gloria of New Prague; grandchildren, Lance Cpl. Tylor Johnson, Connor Rennecke, Morgan, Parker, Will and Dana Pioske, Carter, Braden and Isaac Overson, Emily, Alex and Allison Pioske; mother, Marguerite Pioske of Gaylord; brothers, David Pioske and his wife, Starla of Le Sueur, Lee Pioske and his wife Angelita of Phoenix, AZ; Many other relatives and friends.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Pioske.
