Rosanne M. Severin, age 54, of Winthrop passed away Thurs., Jan. 6, 2011, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Memorial services were Tues., Jan. 11, 2011, at the Dalin-Hantge Chapel in Winthrop. The Rev. Jerry Pauslson officiated.
Rosanne Marie (Sprenger) Severin was born on March 1, 1956, in Sleepy Eye. She was the daughter of Eldor and Juliette (Hillesheim) Sprenger. Rosanne was baptized as an infant on March 11, 1956, by the Rev. H. Sterner in Leavenworth, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop. She was a graduate of the Winthrop High School.
Rosanne was a laborer at Unidoor, Inc. in Gaylord, working hard to support her family. She lived in Winthrop on the farm until 1975, when she moved to Gaylord. In 1989, she moved back to Winthrop.
Rosanne loved to spend time in her garden. That was what brought her peace. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Rosanne is survived by her children, Jessica Severin and her husband, Jason Schultz of Mankato, and Ryan Severin and his wife, Stephanie of Corbin, KY; grandchildren, Michael and Lexi Severin; mother, Juliette Sprenger of New Ulm; sisters, Delaine Heiderscheidt of AR, Junita Christensen and her husband, Wayne of Lake Crystal, Julie “Sandy” Berg and her husband, Howard of Madison Lake, Gail Fox and her husband, Brent of Dent, Jacqueline Sprenger of Mankato, and Faye Underdahl of Mankato; brother, Eldor Sprenger, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Winthrop; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rosanne was preceded in death by her father, Eldor Sprenger; and special friends, Dave Brey and Tom Brey.
