Carol Woehler – 67

Carol E. Woehler, age 67, of Arlington died Monday, March 8, 2010 at her home after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat., March 13, 2010 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church. Private interment will take place at a later date.

Carol was born on March 17, 1942 in Gaylord, to Oswald and Adelie (Petzel) Neubarth. She was baptized in her home and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Arlington. Carol was a 1960 graduate of Arlington High School. On January 12, 1963 she married Charles Woehler at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. They lived and farmed in Green Isle Township all of their married life.

Aside from working on the family farm, she also worked for many years for the Sibley County Sheriff’s Department. She loved spending time with her family, particularly her five grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and watching TV.

Carol was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Woehler of Arlington; daughter, Carrie (Andy) Johnson of Poolesville, Maryland; son, Tim (Kelli) Woehler of Paynesville; grandchildren, Haley and Christopher Johnson, and Whitney, Cole and Bailey Woehler; sister, Betty (Duane) Meffert of Arlington; aunt, Marvel Glander of Hamburg; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edith (Karl) Thoele of Henderson, Marvin (Sandy) Woehler of Willmar, Dennis Woehler of Glencoe and Sandy (Ken) Bauco of Island Lake, Illinois.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents.
