Roads closed

High winds and light snow created hazardous driving conditions here Monday. According to the Sibley County Sheriff’s Department, MnDOT closed state highways in the Gaylord area for a few hours on Monday afternoon. Motorists who travel on closed highways are risking a $1,000 fine, according to MnDOT. There were no serious accidents reported. Sibley East Schools started 2 hours late Tuesday due to the drifting snow.
