Farm worker injured southeast of Gaylord

A farm worker at Sunrise Dairy was injured Tuesday morning when his leg became entangled in an auger.

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the farm accident at the dairy farm, located about eight miles southeast of Gaylord, at about 9 a.m. A male party was found by a co-worker, with his leg entangled in an auger.

The identity of the victim was not released by the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office. The injured party was first transported to Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital, and later transferred to a Rochester hospital.

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Gaylord Ambulance, Gaylord Fire Department, Gaylord Police Department, and Arlington Ambulance.
