H1N1 clinics to be offered at SE Elementary

November 20th, 2009

Sibley County Public Health will be offering H1N1 vaccinations to school-aged children in schools this week.

Allie Freidrichs, director of Sibley County Public Health, said Tuesday that a clinic will be held at Gaylord Elementary Wednesday and Arlington Elementary Thursday. Freidrichs said that her department will be focusing on the Kindergarten class first, since Public Health will be getting less than 200 doses at this point.

According to Freidrichs, 100 – 120 consent forms have been returned for Kindergarten through Grade 6 at both Arlington and Gaylord. “Flu mist will be given unless there is a contraindication, such as asthma. Then students will get the shot,” she explained.
