To the Editor:
October 12th, 2009Why is Sibley County charging four hundred dollars for a permit for a new septic system? So the state inspector can get two hundred and seventy-five dollars, which leaves the county with one hundred and twenty-five dollars.
I believe the county should not make any money off the sale of a permit. Because people who are installing the new systems are protecting the water for the future. Nicollet County charges only sixty dollars for a permit and they do their own inspection. Now with over a million dollars in the Sibley County treasury, why are my taxes going up every year?
