Sibley County is hoping to tap into State Bridge Bonds to replace 35 bridges over the next five years, that are located on county state aid highways, county roads, township roads, and city streets.

All of the bridges on the list have sufficiency ratings of less than 80 and have been determined to have a high priority for replacement or rehabilitation within the next five years.

The estimated cost to replace the 35 bridges is $14.535 million. The county is requested the state bridge bond funds to pay $6.43 million of the cost. Other funding would be provided by local unit of government, township, and state aid.
