School personnel look at grade realignment

December 24th, 2008

Possible grade-realignment was a focus of the Dec. 3 teacher-inservice for Sibley East Junior and Senior High School.

According to reports from the principals, approximately 20 staff members, Superintendent John Langenbrunner, Junior High Principal Steve Harter, Senior High Principal Jim Amsden, and board members visited the Le Sueur-Henderson Middle/High School. Amsden explained that the focus was to gather information on their grade alignment, programming, and facility upgrades.

Harter commented that the “facility was impressive and definitely fit the educational program that their staff and community had developed.

Recommendations for possible grade-realignment are expected to be presented to the Sibley East Board of Education in February or March.
