Collection underway to send care packages to Minnesota soldiers

December 11th, 2008

A collection to send a care package to Minnesota soldiers serving overseas is underway.

Donations must be dropped off at the Gaylord City Hall by December 12. Items need to be mailed by December 15 in order to arrive for Christmas.

Items that are needed are personal care items, juice pouches, beef jerky (vacuum sealed), fruit roll ups, crackers, cookies, newspapers, magazines, DVD movies, decks of cards, and gum.

Gaylord Mayor Doug Quast and his wife Connie will pay for the shipping of the package.
