The Funeral Service for Gloria Elaine (Dahl) Seberson will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November, 14, 2008 at Grace Lutheran Church. The Reverend Todd Walsh will officiate. Interment will be in East Freeborn Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 on Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church.

Gloria died Monday morning, November 10, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. She was 84 years old.

She was born on January 19, 1924, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Alvin E. and Vivian O. (Overgaard) Dahl. Gloria was raised in Bancroft Township, Freeborn County and attended rural country school, graduating from Albert Lea High School.

She was united in marriage to Keith Duane Seberson on November 10, 1946, at the East Freeborn Lutheran Church, rural Albert Lea. She had lived in Staples and Gaylord, faithfully following her husband, Keith and the grocery store business. They settled in Gaylord for 30 years until retiring back in Albert Lea. Gloria had been a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord and most recently a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Grace Lutheran Church Women’s Guild. Gloria worked at the Lerdal Phone Depot, was a part time grocer, fulltime mother and devoted Lutheran Women’s Guild worker.

Gloria was active in the Red Cross Auxiliary, Deborah Circle and the Naeve Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, cribbage with her grandchildren and loved to bake and cook. Her greatest enjoyment was time she spent with her grandchildren and family.

Gloria is survived by her children: David K.(Sui Ru “Lucy”) Seberson of St. Louis Park, Charles B. (Sherry) Seberson of Albert Lea, Barbara (Robert) VanCleave of Cheyenne, WY, Steven (Stephanie) Seberson of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Tim, Betsy and Annie Seberson, Chris, Erika and Troy Seberson, Jackie and Emily VanCleave, Mike (Jill) VanCleave, Brittany, Peter and Olivia Seberson; step granddaughter Amy Sui Ru; brothers and sisters: Alton (Beano) Dahl of Albert Lea, Roger (Arla) Dahl of Albert Lea, Caryoln (David) Schmitz of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Jeanine Dahl of Albert Lea, and many nieces and nephews.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Vivian Dahl, sister Marjorie, twin sisters at birth, brother Paul Dahl and husband Keith Seberson.
