Friends of the Gaylord Library will present “A Night with the Stars,” featuring Mike Lynch, WCCO meteorologist and weather reporter, Monday, Nov. 10 at the Gaylord Public Library and Walsh Field. The public is invited.
The event will begin with a fundraising meal served from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the library. This will be followed by a book discussion about Lynch’s books, Minnesota Weatherwatch and Minnesota Starwatch from 7 – 8 p.m. An outdoor stars presentation will be held from 8 – 9 p.m. at Walsh Field.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to look through Lynch’s large telescopes, including a giant 20 inch reflector for close up views of Jupiter, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, and other wonders in the sky.
Lynch’s books will be available for sale and can be personally autographed at the event. Limited seating is available. Please call 507-237-2280.
