Malinda Frahm - 85
October 30th, 2008Malinda Frahm, age 85 of Arlington and formerly of Green Isle, died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington. Funeral service was Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle. Burial was in the Arlington Public Cemetery.
Malinda was born on November 1, 1922 to Gustave and Dora (Tanke) Trick in Green Isle. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle by Reverend Reuter on November 19, 1922. She was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle by the Rev. R. Rottmann on March 28, 1937. She attended the Green Isle Country School. As a young girl, Malinda worked for various families as a house girl. She married John Frahm on June 22, 1943. She continued working within various fields as a cook, set the type for the Green Isle newspaper and worked during corn pack in Arlington. In 1961 she went to work in Gaylord, at Fingerhut Corporation where she worked mending and repairing various clothing items. She retired from Fingerhut in 1984. She was also an Auxiliary member for 50 years. Malinda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also spent time working on various crafts such as embroidery, crochet and painting plaster craft items. She also played cards with many of her friends within the apartment complex to which she lived.
She is survived by her children, John (Elaine) Frahm of Stillwater, Betty Lou (Donald) Wroge of Glencoe, and Sandra Lee (Kenneth) Dressen of Arlington; grandchildren, John III (Jennifer) Frahm, Matthew (Monica) Frahm, David Wroge, James (Kim) Wroge, Dawn (Jason) Jacques, Mark (Carol) Dressen and Keith (Lori) Dressen; great-grandchildren, Jonas and Karl Frahm, Ryan, Beth, Adam, and Leah Wroge, and Lindsey and Jesse Jacques.
She is preceded in death by husband, John Frahm Sr.; parents, Gustave and Dora Trick, and great-grandson, Wyatt Frahm.
