The bass were biting last week at Green Lake north of the Twin Cities for Gaylord angler Dave Main. The former Gaylord football coach topped the amateur division of the Silverado Pro-Am Bass Tour Tournament of Champions and came home with $2,000 in prize money. Main, (right), boated six bass tipping the scales at 16.68 lbs. This is the third year Main, who qualified eighth, has fished the tournament tour. Pat Martins of Watkins was Main’s pro partner for the event. Twenty anglers qualified for the championship. Former Gaylord resident Duane Anderson, above left, finished fourth in the pro division with a creel the included 14.5 pounds of bass.
