Norseland community celebrates 150th birthday

Norseland area residents celebrated that community’s 150th anniversary with church services, food, fun and a look back at the community’s beginnings Sunday. Above, parade grand marshals Linda Swenson and Dorothy Anthony enjoyed the ride in a century-old buggy owned by Gust and Anna Johnson. Lower photo finds a pioneer woman and her youngsters being transported as they may have been back when the area’s early settlers moved west from the Minnesota River landings. Submitted photos
