Three coaches, two teachers resign from SE
May 22nd, 2008Three Sibley East coaches and two teachers have resigned positions effective the end of the 2007-2008 school year.
The Sibley East Board of Education, Monday, accepted the resignations of Alan Ihrke, as head varsity girls’ basketball coach; Mike Feterl, as grade 7 football coach; and Carrie Bartlette, as head speech coach.
Resignations were also accepted from Sonja Swanson, ESL teacher, and Jill Blomdahl Skanson, Early Childhood Family Education Teacher.
In other business, the Board of Education accepted the following donations:
• $340 from the New Auburn VFW for the Gaylord School Patrol
• $748 from the Arlington State Bank for the Arlington School Patrol
The school board was also informed that this past month, the City of Arlington sent the Sibley East School District a check for $20,000 to assist in the 2008-2009 operational costs of the Arlington campus swimming pool.
