Staff in-service day added to ’08-’09 calendar
May 22nd, 2008An additional day of staff training was added into Sibley East’s 2008-2009 school calendar Monday.
The Board of Education followed the recommendation of Superintendent John Langenbrunner to make Wednesday, October 1 a full day of school for students, instead of having an early dismissal for in-service, and conduct a full staff in-service day Wednesday, October 15, the day before the Ed. MN conference. There will then be no school for students October 15.
Langenbrunner recommended adding the full in-service day because the district will receive funding to conduct six hours of training in the areas of technology competency, cultural diversity, and school safety emergency procedures.
