Less than ideal weather conditions didn’t keep people away from the High Island Arena Rodeo in Jessenland Township this past weekend. According to rodeo coordinator Kathy Biron, approximately 2,200 spectators attended the sixth annual event. Rodeo participants entertained the crowd with bull riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping and barrel racing. Another crowd favorite was the mutton bustin’, an event where youngsters ride sheep.
