City to hold Truth in Taxation hearing Dec. 5
November 29th, 2007Gaylord’s City Council will be holding its Truth in Taxation hearing Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Gaylord Fire Hall. Residents are invited to attend the public hearing to express their opinions on the budget and the proposed levy.
The city is proposing a 7.5% increase in the property taxes in 2008. Gaylord is proposing to levy $636,512, up $44,408 from the 2007 levy of $592,104.
Gaylord’s 2008 is proposed to be $1,311,140, a 5.64% increase from the 2007 budget of $1,241,157.
