Shell robbers make first appearance in county court

A Prior Lake couple charged with first degree aggravated robbery in the robbery of the Gaylord Shell gas station made their court appearance here Thursday.

An omnibus hearing for Kelsey Schmidt/Dahlager has been set for Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. Her bail was set at $10,000 cash or $75,000 bond.

Other conditions to be followed include:

• Remain law abiding and make all future court appearances.

• Report changes of home and/or work address and telephone number to court and attorney.

• Maintain contact with attorney as requested.

• Submit to fingerprinting and photographing at the law enforcement center.

• Pay public defender fees to be set.

An omnibus hearing for James Dahlager was set for November 15 at 1 p.m. Bail was set at $5,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

Other conditions to be followed include:

• Remain law abiding and make all future court appearances.

• No contact with the victim of the alleged offense.

• Report changes of home and/or work address and telephone number to the court and attorney.

• Maintain contact with attorney as requested.

• Submit to fingerprinting and photographing at the law enforcement center.

• Pay public defender fees to be set.

The couple is in jail.

The armed robbery occurred at the Gaylord Shell station and convenience store at approximately 8:40 p.m. on August 7. A suspect held two employees at gun point and demanded money from the cash register.
