Bloodmobile

The American Red Cross bloodmobile will stop at the Gaylord Legion Tuesday.The bloodmobile will be held from 1 – 7 p.m.

Gaylord’s bloodmobile will be held at a new location because of the remodeling of the City Hall into the public library. The bloodmobile had been held at City Hall for more than 40 years.

Another area blood drive will be held Thursday, Oct. 4 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at GFW High School in Winthrop.

A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Donors must be at least 17 years old and must weigh at least 110 pounds.

Bite suit for Sibley County’s K-9 unit

Henderson’s Fire Relief Association recently donated $1,500 to be used toward purchasing a bite suit for Sibley County’s K-9 unit. The bite suit, worn by Henderson Firefighter Brandon Phillips, will be used to train Zeus in criminal apprehension.
