Prior Lake couple charged in Shell armed robbery
August 30th, 2007A Prior Lake couple has been charged with first degree aggravated robbery in the robbery of the Gaylord Shell gas station and convenience store August 7.
James Nicholas Dahlager and Kelsey Jeanne Schmidt were charged here August 22. The maximum penalty for the first degree aggravated robbery charge is 20 years in jail, $35,000 fine, or both.
The robbery occurred at the Gaylord Shell station at approximately 8:40 p.m. A suspect held two employees at gun point and demanded money from the cash register.
Dahlager was linked to the crime from video footage when he used an ATM in Hutchinson. The pair was linked to about 14 armed robberies in the area.
Dahlager and Schmidt are scheduled for bail hearings in Sibley County on September 20.
