The “Survivor Walk” kicked-off the Relay For Life event Friday evening at the Gaylord City Park. The survivors walked the baseline of Walsh Field during the emotional ceremony.

Tammy Petzel, Nelva Lilienthal, and Judy Ide, members of the “Fishing for a Cure” team, dressed up during the patriotic themed lap. About $40,000 was raised at this year’s event, according to Doris Martens, treasurer for the Sibley County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
