August is still a few months away, but planning for Eggstravaganza 2007 is already well underway. With summer drawing near, the Gaylord Eggstravaganza Committee is looking for volunteers to help run the annual event.

Eggstravaganza 2007, Gaylord’s annual city-wide celebration, is scheduled for Aug. 9-11. The committee has an opening for someone to organize the children’s games and activities in the park.

There is also a need for a youth or civic group to set up and run the children’s games at the park. Any youth groups willing to volunteer will get to keep the proceeds they generate from all games or activities they bring.

Volunteers are needed to staff the Chamber food and beverage stands at the dance on Friday and in the park on Saturday. Volunteers need not be members of the Chamber. Anyone who volunteers to help gets a free Eggstravaganza 2007 tee shirt.

Fundraising cans and Chamburger stands, which support the weekend’s events, will soon crop up downtown.
