Gaylord’s EDA, Monday night, approved contracting with Region 9 for the position. The EDA authorized City Administrator Lonny Johnson, who also served as the EDA executive director, to negotiate the contract. Johnson said that he would stay within the budget of $15,600 for the part-time position. Johnson said that for 2007, the position was planned for 15 hours per week.

Four interviews were conducted over the past two months for the part-time EDA coordinator/marketing position. The vacancy was created when Pat Pinske, who was hired last year, was elected to the City Council and began serving in January. She has served as a volunteer in the position the past five months.
