Digging continued on Second Street this week as workers replaced deteriorating water and sanitary sewer lines as part of the City’s street and utility improvement project. According to Al Hahn, project representative from Short Elliot Hendrickson Inc. (SEH), a reclaimer machine will return to town this week to grind up blacktop on First Street and cross streets included in phase one of the project. Hahn said he will continue to update property owners affected by the project with a weekly newsletter. Project update meetings are also held each Wednesday (9:00 a.m.) at City Hall. These meetings are open to the public, Hahn explained.
