Experts say the demand for gasoline, mixed with the shortage of oil refineries in the United States is to blame for the hike. The national average for gasoline Tuesday was $3.10 per gallon. Last week, Len’s Service proprietor Brian Scholla (above) needed to change gears on his gas pumps to make them top the $3.00/gallon mark. Pictured above in the background is Len’s Service employee Loren Mattson.
