Principals contract approved
March 23rd, 2007Sibley East’s Board of Education approved a two-year contract with its three principals Monday night. The principals had been working without a contract since June 30, 2006.
Under the agreement, the principals will receive a 2.25% annual increase in their salary. In addition, the district will compensate each principal $1,200 annually to coordinate activities and build relationships to enhance parent and community involvement involvement within the district. This compensation is in effect for this two year period.
The contract period is from July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2008.
As part of the contract, the salary of Senior High Principal Jim Swanson is set at $87,970 for 2006-07 and $89,950 for 2007-08. The salary of Junior High Principal Steve Harter is set at $81,345 for 2006-07 and $83,175 for 2007-08. The salary for Elementary Principal Mari Lu Martens is set at $85,415 for 2006-07 and $87,340 for 2007-08.
