Hazel Johnson had heart surgery this past week.

Herb Pagel, Oliver and Mary Compart drove to Colorado Springs, CO to attend the funeral of nephew Mike Quinn (52) on Saturday, Jan. 13th. Mike was the son of the former Ida Pagel.

Rob and Janice Meyer spent Sunday in Rochester with son Rob III, wife Leslie and 14 month old Phoebe Jane.

Friday Rob Meyer visited Marilyn Olmanson at St. Peter Community Hospital.

Janice Meyer’s father, Milton Teske will be the special guest at his 90th birthday party on Sunday 28th of January, at Rob Meyer’s home.

Vienne Isabella Laing was born to Marissa and Bryce Laing of North Mankato on December 8, 2006. The baby weighed 8 pound, 12.5 ounces, and was 21 inches long. A baptism was conducted on December 17th at Peace Lutheran Church in North Mankato. Baptism sponsors were Kara Quist of Mankato and Braden Laing of Elk River. A dinner was served at the Bryce Laing home in North Mankato following the service, attended by Vienne’s grandparents, Allen and Julie Quist of Norseland and Skip and Lynn Laing of Elk River. Other guests for dinner were Julie Amanda Quist of Norseland; Brandon, Melanie and Laelin Laing of Shakopee; Daniel Quist of Norseland; Paul and Kathy Quist of St. Peter; Kara Quist of Mankato; Nikki and Joe Becker of Mankato; and Kayla Zahn of Mankato. Mother and baby are doing well.

After Marilyn Olmanson has surgery on January 30th for her new hip at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital, she will be returning to St. Peter after a few days.
