Still in full velvet!

Wuetherich deer

This eight-point buck, shot by Kerry Wuetherich of rural New Auburn, still had velvet on its antlers. Wuetherich shot the buck near Rochester. A hormonal defect is believed to be the reason the animal still has the velvet. Deer usually lose their velvet during the summer months.
