MSU professor to report on condition of Lake Titloe

November 8th, 2006

What is lurking in Lake Titloe?

Gaylord’s City Council will find out at its November 15th meeting. That is when Dr. Bryce Hoppe of Minnesota State University (MSU) is scheduled to present test results to council members.

Jim Swanson, a member of the Lake Titloe committee, said that Hoppe and members of the MSU science department have been conducting tests on the water quality of Lake Titloe.

Hoppe provided the Lake Titloe committee with a preliminary report earlier this year. According to Swanson, that preliminary report indicated the lake’s condition was “very grave.”

Hoppe now has more complete details on the testing. He plans to report those results to council members next week.
