Geologist says: Lake Titloe “isn’t right” but has “huge potential”

Lake Titloe

An effort to improve the water quality in Lake Titloe continues. Gaylord City Council members and Sibley County Commissioners recently heard a presentation about the water quality issues with the lake. Testing by a Minnesota State University – Mankato professor and a few of his students has revealed that the lake’s water is indeed in grave condition.

Proceeds from the Gaylord Chamber of Commerce’s Love Lights a Tree program are being used for this Winter Wonderland Display in the City Park. The Chamber of Commerce plans to add to the display each year.

Corn for Wildlife

Gaylord GPL Corn Crib

The Pheasants Forever (Sibley County chapter) and the Gaylord Game Protective League organizations are again providing corn for people interested in feeding wildlife this winter. The corn bin will be open for the public on the first and third Saturdays (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) of each month beginning in December.
