Pool filtration system to be replaced
July 19th, 2006Health and safety funds will be used to replace the filtration system at the Sibley East Pool in Arlington next month.
The Sibley East Board of Education, Monday, accepted a quote of $49,200 from Water Specialty of Minnesota, Inc. of Savage.
Superintendent John Langenbrunner said that the work will be completed in August. The project is expected to take two to two and a half weeks.
Langenbrunner said that when the district was working with architects for this project several years ago, the cost was projected at $150,000. Now the district is working without an architect, Langenbrunner said, but this company was involved in the construction of the pool.
Funding for this project was included for fiscal year 2006, but will be rolled over to the fiscal year 2007 budget, Langenbrunner explained.
